State Street Counseling Services Holds Open House

Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center's State Street Counseling Service held an open house today. The Service is located at 913 State St., New Haven, and offers a full range of mental health and substance abuse counseling from Monday through Friday.

In addition to individual counseling, the following weekly groups are offered: Coping Skills, Relapse Prevention, Women's Group and Anger Management.
A federal grant of $150,000 has helped finance the service. The Center's behavioral health services are located at eight sites in New Haven, West Haven and Ansonia. In addition to adult outpatient counseling and treatment, there are two child and family guidance clinics, a 29-bed detox center, and a partial hospital day treatment program.
