Griswold Woman Named Medical Records Head

Donna Walker-Thomas of Griswold has been named Health Information Director of the Hill Health Center (HHC), it was announced today by Cornell Scott, HHC chief executive officer.

Walker-Thomas has eight years of medical records experience at St. Francis, Yale-New Haven and WW Backus Hospitals, Elmhurst Extended Care and the Groton Regency. She is helping HHC conform to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and will also be serving as the HHC's Privacy Officer.

HHC maintains more than 35,000 patient medical records in 19 locations in Greater New Haven.
