Health Center Hires HIV/AIDS Director
Hill Health Center's new Director of the HIV/AIDS Division is Thomas J. Kidder, LCSW, a clinical social worker with both treatment and administrative experience in the fields of health, mental health and substance abuse services.
Kidder, a graduate of Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, was clinical director and executive director of Guenster Rehabilitation Services of Bridgeport from 1993 to 1998. He has been on the faculty of Western Connecticut State University, in Danbury and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield since 1999.
The Center's AIDS Program, which is funded by the State Department of Public Health and the Ryan White Care Act, provides medical, dental, nutrition, behavioral health, counseling and testing, outreach, education and medication adherence services. Many of the Center's AIDS patients are also being simultaneously treated for behavioral health problems.
