Hill Health Center, Connecticut's oldest and largest community health Center, has been a leader in community health care innovation for 40 years. We provide an extensive array of medical, behavioral health and dental services to more than 29,000 Connecticut residents. The Center is a dynamic institution, which continually improves its practices to meet the needs of its predominantly low-income patients.
Hill Health Center provides comprehensive medical services at 12 locations. And now a 13th! We have just opened a new medical clinic at a residential treatment center whose residents had previously used the emergency room for primary care.
We are proud to be pioneers in developing integrated medical and behavioral health care. Our behavioral health services include detoxification, partial hospital, and out-patient care to children and adults at 14 locations.
Winner of the Johnson & Johnson Crystal Award for excellence in community care, our Dental Department provides care at 3 locations and was one of the first community health centers to implement complete electronic dental records.
As a longtime leader in innovation, Hill Health Center operates its own pharmacy, licensed both as a retail pharmacy and Federal 340 (b) pharmacy where low cost medications are provided; a laboratory accredited by the American College of Pathology; a homeless health care program; a WIC program, Food Pantry, Public Housing Program and 6 school-based clinics.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, quality, accessible and culturally appropriate health care that integrates medical, behavioral health, dental, and prevention services to eliminate health disparities and improve the health status of our patients and our community at large. We especially seek to make a difference in the health care and health outcomes served by our current health care system.
